Nahyeon Lee

Associate Producer

Nahyeon is a filmmaker and theatre producer based in Tāmaki Makaurau with Korean heritage who strives to champion stories from underrepresented and minority perspectives. 

Nahyeon has worked closely with PAT as the producer for the sold-out premiere season of PINAY (2019 Excellence Award for Original Production) and as the assistant producer for Orientation (Hackman Cup for Best Original Production) for Q Theatre’s Matchbox season in 2018. Currently, she is a writer for PAT 2020’s Fresh Off the Page initiative and has previously received mentorship for the New Asian Writers initiative in collaboration with the NZFC in 2018. 

Graduating from the University of Auckland in Screen Production with first class honours for a Master of Arts in drama directing, her own creative endeavours lie in film having directed and released her short anthology film Myth of the Model Minority with TVNZ on Demand in 2019.
