Producers In Training (PIT)

Proudly Asian Theatre, Black Creatives Aotearoa, and Alif Theatre have teamed up to launch an exclusive emerging producers training programme across Wellington, Auckland, and Christchurch.

Seeing the lack of producers to hold the incredible boom of BIPOC talent, this programme is specifically designed for Asian, Black, and Middle Eastern producers to learn ground-level skills for free, from the best. Over four months, mentees will participate in fortnightly classes from August 2023, followed by paid internships on real-life productions with theatre companies in 2024! 

With an open call bringing in a staggering amount of applicants, our aim is to empower BIPOC communities to take their producing career to the next level.
